Woolpert Providing Architecture, Engineering for 9 WoodSpring Suites Locations
MIAMI (PRWEB) November 27, 2018 -- Gold Coast Premier Properties Group has contracted with Woolpert for architectural and engineering services at nine WoodSpring Suites extended-stay hotels, many of them in South Florida. The contract is part of the chain’s substantial expansion into the region, where two extended-stay hotels have opened and another four are under construction. The most recent sites broke ground last week in Miami and Tamarac, Fla.
Woolpert has provided design services for 100-plus of the more than 200 WoodSpring Suites located across 35 states.
For the nine sites under this contract, Woolpert will provide building design and architectural design, as well as mechanical, engineering, plumbing (MEP) and structural engineering. Woolpert works with the group’s real estate team and area brokers to help determine viable sites, conducting zoning research and site investigations, estimating costs, getting municipal approvals and securing entitlements.
Tim Reber, Woolpert project manager, said the architecture and appearance of the South Florida WoodSpring Suites will be specific to the region but will retain the brand’s traditional structure of four stories with 123 units. Each unit has a kitchen and bathroom, as well as access to a fitness center.

In addition to this expansion into South Florida, WoodSpring Suites also has grown into the North and South Carolina markets and is looking to establish a presence in Southern California.
