Zamansky LLC Commences a Securities Arbitration Proceeding Against UBS for Losses Sustained on its Yield Enhancement Strategy
NEW YORK (PRWEB) February 14, 2019 -- Zamansky LLC has recently filed a securities arbitration claim with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on behalf of a New York couple against the brokerage firm UBS in connection with losses sustained under the firm’s Yield Enhancement Strategy, or YES, program.
The pleadings allege that, in response to an extended bull market underpinned by “low” interest rates and muted volatility, brokerage firms including UBS have offered certain clients a supposedly safe and low-risk investment strategy designed to enhance their portfolios’ income streams. However, according to investment fraud attorney Jake Zamansky, such complex options strategies, which take various forms and names -- including so-called “iron condors” -- are extremely complex and risky strategies. “Options, which are derivatives, are very hard to understand for all but the most-sophisticated investors,” says Zamansky. “Our clients were not adequately informed of the many risks associated with trading options for purposes of generating income.”
