$14 Million Essay Contest to Award Winners Once-in-a-Lifetime Jewelry Collection
New York (PRWEB) July 11, 2016 -- The $14 Million Jewelry Competition is now accepting submissions for a life changing essay contest. The contest will award one winner and two runner-ups with merchandise valued at $14 million. These prizes are being provided from the personal collection of Mr. Pearse Hayes, owner of the Great Value Jewelry Outlet, LLC and contest commissioner.
“I only ask that whoever the winners are, they should use this opportunity to live their dreams to the fullest,” said Hayes. “I want someone else to have the fun that I’ve had, but without the struggle I had to achieve it.”
In January of 2012, Hayes and his family lost everything when the Great Value Jewelry Outlet, LLC was burglarized. Despite this setback, Hayes continued to work and re-build his collection. What followed was a difficult road filled with illness and injury that tested Hayes’ commitment to the business. Throughout it all, Hayes only missed three days of work, and was able to grow his collection to an amazing 600,000 pieces.
Through his many difficulties, Hayes gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of time and family. This realization sparked the idea behind the essay competition. “I needed to cut back on my business ventures and downsize,” said Hayes.
Hayes’s original plan was to sell his collection to retail outlets throughout the United States and Europe during the next two years. Instead, Hayes then decided to sell his collection for only two months, taking the remaining inventory and awarding it to the winner of the essay contest. Hayes has over 30 years of experience in the jewelry business, crafting unique and precious heirlooms for families to cherish.
The first and second runner up winners will receive a watch with an estimated retail value of $500, while the grand prize winner will receive the rights to the 600,000 piece jewelry collection, valued at $14 million. To enter the contest, participants are required to write a 300-word essay detailing how winning the jewelry competition would help them achieve their dreams. Submission will be accepted through the end of August or until the goal of 6,000 entries is reached.
To enter, participants must fill out the application form online, which includes the essay, and a $195.00 entry fee. Each applicant will be awarded with 30 pieces of jewelry randomly selected from Hayes’s collection once the application and fee are confirmed. The winner will be chosen 30 days after the deadline closes.
