(MOVeS) for Radon eJ -- A Door Worth Building
WATERLOO, Ill. (PRWEB) September 05, 2018 -- Citizens for Radioactive Radon Reduction announced the release of its 2018 Radon Environmental Justice issue today, a definitive look at how radon fairs with respect to the poor and disenfranchised.
The EPA stated environmental justice will be achieved when everyone enjoys the same degree of protection from environmental and health hazards and equal access to the decision-making process.
This month’s issue includes information about the (MOVeS) for Radon eJ Project created by Nathaniel Burden, a project recently launched with a “push” to provide a solution for low-income people.
Nathaniel L. Burden, Jr., who was a physics major with studies in nuclear engineering at Carnegie-Mellon and now a Physicist who has worked in the environmental services for many years stated, “We can test the homes and find the high levels of radon, but we are under-serving this population of people who do not have the income nor a way to fix the problem…” Nate’s favorite saying is from Milton Berle, “If opportunity doesn't knock ... build a door!”
Citizens for Radioactive Radon Reduction (CR3) has taken up the gauntlet to promote educational awareness about environmental justice. “We will let people know there is an inequality in the resolution of this deadly problem and if we do not address high levels of radon in poor neighborhoods, we will continue to see more individuals with radon-induced lung cancer.”, says Gloria Linnertz, Director.
“Joining forces with Nate to take this problem to a new level is a real honor.”, says Jacquelyn Nixon, publisher of CR3 News Magazine. “When it comes to putting the pedal to the metal, the (MOVeS) for Radon eJ Project is a major move in the right direction.”
CR3 News Magazine is the primary advocate and voice for Citizens for Radioactive Radon Reduction (CR3) and the only “magazine” in the industry dedicated to the dangers of radon gas. The publication is a driving force sharing leadership and game-changing strategies to assist the radon and lung cancer community in the effort to reduce lung cancer. The magazine, a high-quality publication developed by a staff that has been affected by radioactive radon gas exposure, is now an internationally recognized leader in the publishing of the dangers of radon exposure.
