“Extreme Weight Loss: Love Can’t Weight”: Cain and Tiffany Begin Their Wedding Transformation Journey at the University of Colorado Anschutz Health and Wellness Center
Aurora, Colo. (PRWEB) June 18, 2015 -- Season 5 of the hit ABC series "Extreme Weight Loss" offers a new twist with three special companion piece editions -- "Love Can't Weight" -- in which three obese couples get in shape, both physically and emotionally, for each of their weddings. In the first episode, Cain and Tiffany attempt to reclaim the active, athletic lives they once led.
The couple’s incredible transformation will be featured on the premiere of “Extreme Weight Loss: Love Can’t Weight” on Tuesday, June 23 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT) on the ABC Television Network.
Cain and Tiffany live in New Orleans, LA, and in the course of their four-year relationship, they have gained a combined 150 pounds. Cain (31 years old) weighs 357 pounds, while Tiffany (27 years old), a former Division 1 college soccer player, weighs 260 pounds.
Together, Cain and Tiffany will set a record for the most weight lost by any two-person team in the history of “Extreme Weight Loss.” But, will it be enough to get them to the altar? In addition to battling his weight, Cain battles a gambling addiction. In just two years, he lost $200,000, leaving him unable to afford a ring, a wedding or a house.
This episode documents the fierce challenges facing the couple, as they attempt to become the slim, active, healthy individuals they used to be.
Like the cast members on “Extreme Weight Loss,” the couples will begin their transformation journey attending boot camp at the renowned University of Colorado Anschutz Health and Wellness Center in Aurora, Colo. The center’s associate director Holly Wyatt, MD, serves as medical director for the television program. Wyatt is affectionately known as “Dr. Holly” to the cast members and is seen on the show each week helping the couples safely lose up to half of their body weight, as well as the emotional baggage that often holds one back, in preparation for their weddings.
At the end of this episode, Cain and Tiffany will continue the tradition of “paying it forward” by giving a friend or family member the opportunity to transform his or her life. The CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center will provide the designees with a place to begin their own weight loss journeys at the one-week, evidence-based Extreme Weight Loss: Destination Boot Camp transformation program.
Extreme Weight Loss: Destination Boot Camp was inspired by Wyatt’s participation in the TV show. She designed the boot camp to provide participants with the tools they need to complete their own successful weight loss transformations – without the TV cameras! Limited space is available in upcoming boot camps and weight loss seekers are encouraged to learn more and register now.
