“Extreme Weight Loss” Video Blog from the CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center: Jenn’s New Mindset Allows Her to Transform in Ways She Never Believed She Could
Aurora, Colo. (PRWEB) July 15, 2015 -- The newest edition of “Extreme Weight Loss” features Jenn who digs deep to discover a mental toughness she never knew she had. In her weekly video blog, the TV show’s medical director Holly Wyatt, MD, stresses the importance of mindset in any successful transformation.
Every episode of the hit ABC series “Extreme Weight Loss” Season 5 begins at the University of Colorado Anschutz Health and Wellness Center at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colo. Holly Wyatt, MD is associate director of the center and medical director for the TV show. She is affectionately known as “Dr. Holly” to the show’s cast members and her patients.
Each week, Dr. Holly watches the show then records a video blog offering fans her insight plus advice on how to begin, or continue, their own weight loss transformation journeys.
Dr. Holly says this episode is a great reminder that we are all much stronger than we think.. Once Jenn (Cody, WY.) started believing that she could overcome challenges and convinced her mind that she would successfully complete this weight loss transformation, her body followed. Instead of continuing to live defensively, Jenn went on offense and started living her life fully.
“You can’t let your mind limit you,” Dr. Holly says. “Expecting success instead of failure makes a huge difference.”
Dr. Holly’s advice:
• Change your mindset and expect success.
• Stop living life defensively. Go on offense, take on challenges.
• Spend your life living instead of waiting.
• Push back against that little voice in your head that says you can’t. Believe that you can.
• Convince your mind and your body will follow.
• Take my challenge this week. Go out and do something you think you can’t. Then tell us about it on my Facebook page.
Dr. Holly’s participation in the TV show inspired her to create the University of Colorado Anschutz Health and Wellness Center’s first destination weight loss program. The weeklong Extreme Weight Loss: Destination Boot Camp is designed to provide participants with the tools they need to complete their own successful weight loss transformations— without the TV cameras! Limited space is available in upcoming boot camps and weight loss seekers are encouraged to learn more and register now.
