#Fest Holds 13th Edition of its Annual Festival
Athens, Ohio (PRWEB) June 02, 2015 -- On April 18, 2015, #Fest held the 13th edition of its annual festival at The Venue of Athens in Athens, Ohio. Featuring the largest infrastructure to date, #Fest boasted two stages, 20 Ohio-based food trucks, and the biggest lineup in the festival’s history.
The well-rounded lineup of hip-hop and electronic music artists, including Diplo, ScHoolboy Q, G-Eazy, ILoveMakonnen and more, performed to more than 17,500 attendees, a #Fest record. The general consensus to those in attendance was that it was the most smoothly run #Fest they’ve experienced, despite being the biggest #Fest in the event’s history, due in large part to the increased safety measures and amenities that were implemented to better enhance the festival experience.
“By far one of the best nights of my life,” attendee Tyler Ruge posted on Twitter. Chase Laveer highlighted that “[#Fest] was one of the better days of my life.”
As mentioned in “The Post,” #Fest patron Cody Smith describes the police at #Fest: “Honestly, this year was probably the most polite and pleasant experience I've ever had with the police in terms of [them] being friendly and treating us college students like actual people and not a bunch of idiots.”
#Fest organizers make this event a desirable place for artists to perform by giving them access to thousands of college students who come to have the best time of their lives.
“[The] crowd had a lot of energy,” explains iLoveMakonnen. “This is the first time I’ve played in Ohio and it was a great time.”
“Somebody told me before I got on stage that this is the biggest college music festival in the world and we went into it with that kind of attitude,” says rapper G-Eazy. “I have heard a lot about it but I was excited to come see what it was about. [Thousands of] people with energy like this - it was good.”
