We were on target to purchase another machine by year-end as part of our expansion plan anyway but we knew in the summer that our strategy was working and took the decision to invest early to capitalize on the demand we were feeling - which is a result of everyone’s the hard work.”
“Secondly as we’ve grown we’ve managed to negotiate better terms with our carriers who we’ve got great relationships with. Working with them means we can offer and honor - next day delivery on orders placed up to 4pm. We think that’s pretty unique in the industry and further underlines our commitment to be the best.”
Hancock concluded: “Our high levels of service and the improvements in capacity have resulted in us winning a lot of new business too, and I think that’s significant. We’re constantly being called asking whether we can do next day delivery, especially flue liner and the answer’s always yes. Feedback from new customers is great and we’re told that suppliers are struggling with some even quoting 7 working days. At this time of year for a stove shop or fitter is just unacceptable.”
