‘Introduction to Spanish/English Linguistics’ Released
BEAUMONT, Calif. (PRWEB) February 02, 2016 -- Linguistics is defined as the scientific study of human language, from the sounds and gestures of speech up to the organization of words, sentences and meaning. Further elaborating on this subject, authors Dee L. Eldredge and Liesder Mayea shares a comprehensive “Introduction to Spanish/English Linguistics” (published by Xlibris) to primarily aid three groups of people: the students, college librarians and Spanish language teachers/professors.
Unlike other books on linguistics, “Introduction to Spanish/English Linguistics” covers, as the title suggests, all areas of linguistics at the introductory level. Helpful to college students, their professors and librarians alike, this book allows for those involved in the study to have a firmer grasp and deeper understanding of the intriguing aspects of human knowledge and behavior.
As the study is also concerned with the relationship between language and cognition, society and history, this book will greatly help foster a better understanding between the English and Spanish speaking contingents. This will then positively impact relations and communications across the globe for anyone speaking both widely used languages.
“We suggest that those who have courses of this type consider this book as a text for those classes. For those that do not have them, we recommend that you offer them and use this book,” the authors say. “We also believe that it would also be an ideal book for libraries in which people interested in the topic can go to find out information, since there are no available texts as comprehensive as this one.”
