(ISC)²® Foundation Offering Multiple Cybersecurity Scholarships and Certification Exam Vouchers
Clearwater, Fla. (PRWEB) June 11, 2015 -- The (ISC)² (“ISC-squared”) Foundation, a charitable trust that aims to empower students, teachers and the general public to secure their online life with cybersecurity education and awareness programs, today announced its application periods for Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships, U.S.A. Cyber Warrior Scholarship and Faculty Exam Vouchers program. The U.S.A. Cyber Warrior Scholarship program in partnership with Booz Allen Hamilton has been expanded to include spouses of U.S. military personnel.
“These scholarships are providing students with the opportunity to obtain a quality education in preparation for entering the in-demand cybersecurity industry,” said Julie Peeler, director, (ISC)² Foundation. “The Foundation is actively committed to providing more scholarships every year to help alleviate the information security workforce gap of 1.5 million professionals worldwide by 2020, as predicted by Frost & Sullivan analysts in our 2015 workforce study. We’re pleased to extend the U.S.A. Cyber Warrior Scholarship program to include military veteran’s spouses this year because we recognize that they are making sacrifices back home while their spouses are serving.”
The (ISC)² Foundation evaluates applicants based on academic excellence, passion for the industry and financial need. The (ISC)² Foundation Scholarship program has awarded the following individuals as 2015 scholarship recipients so far:

The Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarship programs provide aspiring information security professionals with the opportunity to earn an education without financial burden. The Faculty Exam Voucher program was created to encourage more academic participation in the profession and the certification process. Qualified university or college faculty members will be provided with a voucher valid for one CISSP, CSSLP, CAP, CCFP or HCISPP exam and upon certification, the first year of Annual Maintenance Fees. The U.S.A. Cyber Warrior Scholarship program provides U.S. military veterans and their spouses with (ISC)² training materials and certification testing, as well as placement assistance, to help returning veterans as they transition into the civilian workforce.
The (ISC)² Foundation will accept applications for Faculty Exam Vouchers January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015, with the next application period closing June 30, 2015. The application period for Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships will close on June 17, 2015. The U.S.A. Cyber Warrior Scholarship program will accept applications until September 22, 2015.
