‘Kaizen to Pilates and Beyond’ offers Pilates workout tips
Hout Bay, South Africa (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- Author Karin van der Westhuizen shares her passion for health and fitness in her new Pilates book, “Kaizen to Pilates and Beyond” (published by Balboa Press).
The word “kaizen” means “continuous improvement” in Japanese. Van der Westhuizen wants to show readers that continuous health improvement is achievable and beneficial.
“Kaizen to Pilates and Beyond” offers readers a wide assortment of more than 250 Pilates and stretch exercises, using different props, with easily understandable instructions and choreographed illustrations to supplement each exercise.
The props featured in the book for the exercises include large and small exercise balls, Thera-Bands, a Pilates ring, a foam roller and a pole. These tools are not supplied with the book, but may be used to accomplish the desired effects of each exercise.
The exercises found in van der Westhuizen’s new book will show readers they do not have to be flexible to have an overall workout, by doing stretch exercises with or without props.
