‘Knowing C’ is set for new marketing campaign

GUILFORD, Conn. (PRWEB) August 14, 2017 -- His experience working with the archeology of the coastal city of Caesarea in Israel had been persuasive for Don Aime. He continued to ruminate over it well past the end of his three expeditions of the city. He considered it as a unique experience and felt it was a good story that needs to be told. It inspired him to write “Knowing C” (published by Xlibris in October of 2014).

In pursuing his life’s ambition of proving the existence of an archaeological site known as Strato’s Tower, Dr. Avnir Raban of Haifa University has convened a team of some of the world’s finest marine archaeologists exploring the ancient harbor of Ceasarea Maritima along the coast of Israel. C has joined her new dive partner in the quest. C, however, has an unusual interest, not shared by Raban or her dive partner—an interest in the Aleppo Codex. The Jewish community of Aleppo, Syria, has maintained the Aleppo Codex, the earliest copy of the Hebrew Bible known to exist, intact for the past 500 years. Now, the codex, having been recently smuggled into Israel, is missing 200 pages. Israel wants the pages back.

“The book is well-researched and historically accurate, but is a fictionalized tale based on my actual experiences as a marine archeologist,” Aime says. “The story develops in exotic environments intellectually engaging readers in the mysteries surrounding the great harbor at Ceasarea, Strato’s Tower and the whereabouts of the Aleppo Codex; all woven around romantic interludes with the enigmatic C.”

Through the publication of “Knowing C,” Aime would like readers to develop an interest in classical history, the world of underwater archeology, the mystery of ancient artifacts and documents with the intriguing stories woven by its research and discovery.

About the Author
Don Aime was born in New Orleans and graduated from Tulane University. He studied classical archaeology in Israel with Dr. Farland Stanley of the University of Oklahoma. His extensive diving experience led him to study marine archaeology with Dr. Avnir Raban of the University of Haifa.
