‘Locals Love it’ in Minneapolis Northwest
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) June 06, 2014 -- Minneapolis Northwest Convention & Visitors Bureau began a new marketing campaign this month titled “Locals Love it,” focusing on locals living in the cities of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park and Maple Grove, Minnesota.
“The purpose behind the campaign is to hear what the locals love about their city and use their input to help market the area to visitors,” said Danielle Moon, sales & marketing coordinator at Minneapolis Northwest CVB. “We have seen a trend of visitors wanting to do what the locals do, and we think this would be a great way to showcase to our visitors what the locals love.”
To get the word out about the campaign, Minneapolis Northwest CVB has sent out direct mailers to a handful of locals asking them to fill out their favorite place in their city and mail it back to the bureau. Locals can also go to http://www.lovemnw.com to fill out the online form to share what they love.
Minneapolis Northwest CVB is also working with the three cities as well as local businesses and events to help promote their campaign. A large box will be set at different events throughout the year where locals can fill out the form and slip it in the box. Such events as Tater Daze in Brooklyn Park, Earle Brown Days in Brooklyn Center and Maple Grove Days in Maple Grove will be hosts for the box.
“We would love to hear from everyone in our three cities!” said Moon. “We might even learn a few things that we can check out for ourselves.”
