"We saw a real opportunity to create a conversation between the environmental and business communities,” said Gore Bolton, creator of the Piranha Tank, born in Washington, DC and an entrepreneur himself. “All of us are interested in businesses that meet the triple bottom line. We thought, why not find a way to bring these two usually-competing communities together in a fun way that delivers real results? That's when we hit on the 'Piranha Tank' idea.”
Mr. Bolton is an experienced entrepreneur with a background of investing in startups and small to medium sized companies.
And Christy Hartmann, the Potomac Piranhas™ chief of operations, said, "We have a full schedule of interesting businesses ready to swim with the Piranhas for investment . It is going to be a great event."
Potomac Piranhas™, founded in 2014, seeks to bring together the business and environmental communities, instead of pitting them against one another, delivering real, measurable results that respect the bottom line.
