“Season’s Greetings” will Spread Throughout Times Square as the World’s Tallest Digitally-Animated Christmas Tree is Lit on The Toshiba, TDK and Dunkin’ Donuts Screens
New York, NY (PRWEB) December 05, 2016 -- Today, Toshiba, TDK and Dunkin’ Donuts shared “season’s greetings” by debuting the world’s tallest digital Christmas tree, which will light up One Times Square underneath the famous New Year’s Eve ball through Wednesday, January 6.
Covering four digital signs, and standing 400 feet above street level, the 204-foot digital tree utilizes state of the art graphic designs, intended for maximum visual exposure in Times Square. The animation debuted in silhouette form, followed by a gradual pulsating glow behind the tree, letting viewers know something special was in the offing. The tree began to sparkle, while another Times Square tradition, a special countdown, slowly appeared. As the countdown reached “1,” thousands of white lights shimmered, with the new rotating tree getting brighter and brighter in sparkling lights as a ribbon with “Season’s Greetings” encircled it.
“At this special time of the year, Toshiba and TDK, joined by Dunkin’ Donuts for the third year in a row, offer holiday cheer by lighting the world’s largest digital Christmas tree,” says Eddie Temistokle, Sr. Manager Corp. Communication & CSR Toshiba America Inc. “We are delighted to continue this holiday tradition in 2016.”
"It's that wonderful time of year again" says Frank Sweeney, TDK's US President and CEO," and we are thrilled to add excitement and cheer to NY and the Great White Way by co-sponsoring the world's largest virtual Christmas tree."
The tree will adorn the winter sky and set the mood for the holiday season in Times Square through January 6, 2016, appearing on the screens every 5 minutes, 24 hours a day.
