Pediatric trauma is a leading cause of death amongst children. An injury resulting in a trauma can happen anywhere and at any time, and often requires surgery. When children do survive, they may not be the same as they were before. They can suffer short or long-term physical and/or mental changes as a result of the trauma. Not only does pediatric trauma affect its victims, it also impacts their families. Education and training of the families and first responders is key to helping save lives when it comes to these traumas. This episode of "Success Files" will detail some of these events and how these children and their families persevered.
The public television series, “Success Files”, with Rob Lowe is carefully proofed and edited to ensure that each episode meets the highest quality of standards before it is released for broadcast.
