Bristow, VA (PRWEB) October 03, 2013 -- A new cooking class in Prince William County teaches step by step soup-making with homemade stocks along with timesaving tips for creating easy weekday meals for a few or for a crowd.
"We eat lots of soups and stews during the cooler months, and I've adapted my cooking methods to make them "mom-friendly" and fast for weekdays and workdays," said Health Coach and Mom Amy Butchko, CHC, LDHS. "I work full time too, and it's important to me to have manageable menus during the week. That's why my one-pot meals are so important to our family. I'll teach how anyone can make that a reality."
This class covers sourcing ingredients for healthy bone stocks made from chicken, beef or fish along with expert techniques anyone can use to speed up prep time and reduce time in the kitchen.
"Soups and stews can be super nourishing and they can also be terrific if you need a few meals out of one pot," Amy said. "I like to plan ahead for lunches or even a second meal during the week. I remember how my grandmother could turn a chicken into many meals, and I've borrowed from that wisdom to design this class."
The class is offered in Bristow, VA only once this season and seating is limited.
"I like to make my classes as interactive as possible, so everyone can have a chance to try things out for him or herself," Amy added.
