These gangs also made it unsafe to walk the streets at night. Most especially, the book highlights the heroics of brave men and women who put their lives on the line in the name of duty and service to the community.

About the Author
Joseph F. Maraglino went to a Catholic grammar school. He went to Iona College for two years before working as a bookkeeper for another two years. After joining the army, he worked as a city fireman for 24 years, incurring many injuries that rendered him almost paraplegic. “The Forgotten War: Fire and Death” is his first published work.
