“The White Party” Event to Close Out MBE magazine’s 30th Anniversary Experience
Henderson, NV (PRWEB) March 25, 2015 -- The one-year long celebration of MBE magazine’s 30th Anniversary is coming to an end. What was launched last June in Philadelphia, PA, will end this coming June in Austin, TX. “The official celebration took place at SeaWorld in Orlando, FL on November 1st”, said Barbara Oliver, president of Enterprise Publishing Inc., publishers of MBE magazine. “But we’re acknowledging our 30 years in business with our advertisers and sponsors for the entire year. Our reception in June is the culmination of this celebration, but it also marks the beginning of our next 30 years.”
June 23, 2015 is the date set for “The White Party,” the theme of the 30th Anniversary Wrap Reception to be held during the WBENC National Conference and Business Fair in Austin, TX. “It’s almost exactly one year to the day that we will wrap-up one of the most eventful years in our history,” said Ms. Oliver. “Traditionally, white is choice of summer and what better place to showcase that than in Austin, TX. So we encourage all attendees to wear white to our Wrap Reception.”
In addition, Ms. Oliver also acknowledged that the success of the WBEs Who Rock Contest held last year with the winners’ announcement at the Kick-off Reception has prompted a repeat for 2015. The second annual WBEs Who Rock Contest winners will be announced at the June 23 event. All finalists for the contest will be in attendance to hear whether or not they have won. Nominations are currently open and due by April 30, 2015. Everyone is encouraged to nominate a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) who meets the criteria. The contest details are available at http://www.mbemag.com/30-anniversary-experience.html The contest is open to all certified WBEs as well as other women-owned businesses interested in certification. WBEs may also self-nominate and nominations are open to international candidates as well.
