“This Just Isn't How People Do Business”
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 19, 2015 -- After 33 years of training and launching entertainers, AMTC announced a new payment philosophy: Pay What You Pray (PWYP). This new and open-door tuition policy requires AMTC to step out in faith. No performer who is called and qualified will be denied. If someone auditions to join the program and receives a callback, AMTC requires prayer to confirm God’s call.
When presenting PWYP at a search, AMTC Executive Director Adam She recalls a mother explaining to her son that PWYP just “isn’t how people do business.” Adam responds, “I believe PWYP is the way God would have us do business. Unfortunately, this concept is still foreign to the world we live in... that is until now. AMTC is humbled to be the first to launch this unconventional, revolutionary and challenging payment program.”
According to AMTC, the organization has always offered financial aid and discounts. Some performers asked and received. But others who didn’t ask were left behind. PWYP ensures that no called and qualified performer who wants to work in the field of media will be left behind.
Since January, AMTC has faced financial challenges with the PWYP plan. Their tuition income has been cut in half. On Wednesday, March 18, this non-profit began its first-ever pledge drive, encouraging everyone who wants to see positive role models in media to become AMPs (AMTC Monthly Partners). “This is a time of great need for this ministry. We decided to put our money where our mouths are: trust in God and His people,” says Adam She.
With a mission of “Making Good Bolder” on the stages of film, fashion, music and theater, the organization is excited to welcome all performers to become stars for Christ - regardless of their financial means. AMTC needs AMPs to support these future stars in their desire to stand up for God in entertainment.
