A 71 Year-old Canadian Will Be Attempting to Fly Blindfolded, and Set a World Record
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) February 28, 2014 -- Andre Boyer, a 71-year old resident of Quebec, Canada, seeks to break the world record for a complete flight while blindfolded. While the date and place have not yet been officially set due to ongoing negotiations with potential sponsors, two high-profile locations are being considered where the event can be held in the near future, Las Vegas or Dubai.
Andre Boyer’s ultimate goal is to take off, fly his trademarked Feather Powered Parachute (PPC) to a height of at least 500 feet and land, all while being blindfolded. According to Boyer, by succeeding in his challenge, he will demonstrate his skills and courage, as well as supply others with the confidence of pursuing their own goals, even at such an advanced age as himself.
Boyer is undaunted. He is sure that this pursuit will help to boost aviation. It's a fact of life that the public no longer keeps up with the exploits of famed aviators the way people once followed, for example, Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart. Therefore, by tackling this dangerous challenge, he can rekindle some of that romance and sense of adventure.
