A child’s response to a world with no rules
KNOXVILLE, Tn. (PRWEB) February 09, 2016 -- Children often grow frustrated with the amount of rules they must follow. Between naptime, eating their vegetables and cleaning their room they are ready to throw the rulebook out the window. In her new book “A No Rule Day,” author Anna Payne Glass gives kids a peak at what a day without rules might look like.
“A No Rule Day” focuses on Amy, a young girl who is fed up with the amount of rules she must follow. One night before bed, Amy confesses her animosity towards rules to her mother. Upon her confession, Amy’s mother decides to grant her a day where rules no longer exist. “A No Rule Day” comes full circle as readers get to live vicariously through Amy while she discovers just how important rules are.
“I initially wrote this book for the children I taught, and I hope other children and parents will enjoy it as much as my students,” said Payne. “I want to inspire children with good life skills.”
Numerous teaching experiences have provided Ann Payne Glass with valuable insights on child development. Payne Glass has fostered children, pioneered the beginning of homes for disabled children in Knoxville, Tennessee, and worked as a preschool teacher, all while raising two children of her own.
In addition to providing entertainment for young readers, “A No Rule Day,” gives parents and educators a useful tool for demonstrating the value of rules.
