A Christmas Invitation from Strawberry Hill Museum -- Preserving Cultural Christmas Traditions for 26 Years
Kansas City, Kansas (PRWEB) November 14, 2014 -- Strawberry Hill Museum is celebrating its 26th anniversary of sharing traditions and preserving cultural customs from around the world. The festivities begin Saturday, November 22, 2014, and run through Sunday, January 25, 2015.
New this year are the Night Time Christmas Tours, held on Friday evenings, November 28, December 5 and December 19 at 6 p.m. The cost is $15 for the tour, refreshments and desserts. Reservations must be made in advance by calling (913) 371-3264.
Traditional Victorian oil lamps and Christmas lighting will illuminate the museum.
Strawberry Hill is open every Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5:00 p.m. The museum is fully operational and will be as bright and cheerful as ever.
The ever-popular Christmas exhibit features cultural traditions from Croatia, Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Slovenia, The Netherlands, Russia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, African-American, Belgium, Denmark and Mexico.
Visitors can see and feel the traditions from these rich cultures and taste various ethnic desserts in the tearoom.
On Saturday, December 6, St. Nicholas will visit the museum from 1 – 4 pm. There will be cookies, milk and a gift for the children. Photos with St. Nicholas can be purchased for $5.
The Museum & Ethnic Cultural Center is located at 720 N. 4th Street, in Kansas City, Kansas, and will open for the 2014 Holiday Season on Saturday, November 22, 2014, and run through Sunday, January 25, 2015.
