A Forever Recovery to Sponsor 11th Annual National Baptist Convention "H.O.P.E. Week" Health Fair
Detroit, Michigan (PRWEB) June 22, 2015 -- On June 22nd-26th, 2015, Detroit’s Cobo Center will be the site for the 11th Annual National Baptist Convention “Health Outreach Prevention Education” (H.O.P.E.) Health Fair, sponsored by A Forever Recovery, an open-ended holistic treatment center for substance abuse located in Southwest Michigan.
The National Baptist Congress of Christian Education Health and Wellness Initiative, the organizers of this event, is a collaborative effort of National Baptist churches, medical professionals, and health related organizations committed to health outreach and prevention education. The “H.O.P.E. Week” Health Fair will feature workshops and training sessions that focused on building healthy communities through Faith-based initiatives.
“As we work towards building the world around us up into a healthier and more positive place, we must reach out to others with a similar vision of the future,” said A Forever Recovery founder and CEO Per Wickstrom. “The ‘H.O.P.E.’ Week Health Fair will be an excellent opportunity for us to raise awareness about substance abuse and to inform people about what they can do to help in the fight against addiction in their communities, in their congregations and in their homes. A Forever Recovery will host a sponsor booth at the event, where educational materials about addiction will be offered, including tips on conducting an intervention and promissory notes between parents and children regarding drug and alcohol use. The substance abuse treatment center will also host a luncheon on Tuesday, June 23rd, for the H.O.P.E. Health Leadership.
In addition, A Forever Recovery also conduct an interactive workshop that focuses on a variety of topics, including:

• Helping a Clergy Member Struggling with Addiction
• Addressing Addiction in the Family
• Getting Effective Rehabilitation at a Treatment Center

• Support Through the Church for Family Members

The workshop will feature a graduate of the A Forever Recovery treatment program, and insurance specialist and a counselor on hand to help with the presentation and to answer any questions that the attendees may have. The A Forever Recovery rehabilitation program and treatment center uses a variety of treatment modalities which encompass people from all walks of life and religious backgrounds, including a Faith-Based treatment program that is designed for those who are already secure in their Christian beliefs or wish to learn more about the Christian Faith.
