A New Year and a New Slate of Board Officers for the Chicago Bungalow Association

- Board Secretary, Sarah L. Ware:
Sarah L. Ware is a Principal and Broker to The Carter Ware Group. She leads the real estate brokerage group encompassing commercial leasing, commercial sales and residential sales. Sarah is a real estate professional that has developed and implemented creative sales techniques and innovative marketing strategies for projects.
- Board Treasurer, Xochitl Flores:
Xochitl Flores is Assistant to the Bureau Chief at the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development. She is responsible for the assessment and reorganization of the structures, functions, and operations of four departments consolidated under the new Cook County Bureau of Economic Development.

Jason is known throughout Chicago for his broad spectrum of abilities in the real estate industry:
“Since its inception in 2000, HCBA has distributed almost $11 Million in grants to over 6,000 Certified Chicago Bungalow Homeowners. In the past year alone HCBA has performed approximately 700 energy efficiency retrofits as a leader on the Retrofit Chicago team. With our continuous efforts to seek new grant funding for Chicago’s homeowner’s, we are well positioned to continue our work on their behalf.”
As a native Chicagoan and resident of the South Shore community, Ware is extremely familiar with Chicago Bungalows and land use:

HCBA was launched in 2000 as an effort to preserve the City’s architecturally significant bungalows, which comprise nearly one-third of the single-family housing stock in Chicago. Since then, over 15,000 bungalows have been certified and more than 4,000 families have received grants assisting them with energy efficiency and restoration. Celebrating 100 years of Chicago Bungalows, these historic homes can be preserved and modernized for today’s lifestyles and energy needs. HCBA ensures that bungalow owners have the resources and education necessary to adapt and preserve their historic homes.
