A&P Celebrates with the Parker Community at Grand Reopening of Parker Recreation Center
Parker, Colorado (PRWEB) August 29, 2015 -- Adolfson & Peterson Construction (A&P) recently joined with the Town of Parker, Sink Combs Dethlefs and community members to celebrate the grand reopening of the Town of Parker’s Recreation Center.
During the recreation center expansion project, A&P removed the exterior walls in the existing natatorium, along with the existing in-line roller hockey rinks and the existing ballasted roofing. The space received new amenities, including a therapy pool, additional lap lanes, family changing rooms, a children’s party room, classrooms, child care rooms and a fitness studio. A&P also constructed a new leisure pool with a zero-depth pool, lazy river, new waterslide, an aquatic climbing wall and water play features. Renovations to the mechanical systems, parking lots, roof, locker rooms, gymnasium, reception area and lobby gave the recreation center a fresh look while meeting functional needs.
The grand reopening ceremony was held on Saturday, August 22. Mayor Mike Waid opened the recreation center with a ribbon cutting and a few words from project team members, including Dave Gobo and Randy Berner, both from A&P. After the Mayor slid his way down the new leisure pool slide, the Town opened the Recreation Center to the community for free activates from 8 am until 12 pm.
