A Realtor's Conference, Orlando Florida Vacation Homes Increase Revenue for APlusVacation.com and Disney World's New Bracelet
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) July 18, 2013 -- Orlando hosts the Florida Realtor's® Conference and Expo in August. Realtors and property management representatives from A Plus Vacation and other agencies look forward to this year's educational seminars. This year's conference brings the Property Brothers from HDTV. They will be speaking, answering questions and signing autographs on August 16. Among the realtor's educational seminars will be discussions on the trends affecting Orlando Florida vacation homes in residential areas and Disney vacation rental properties.
Large investment groups threaten revenues
The rental home industry is booming again after a small drop in revenue early this year. The pick-up in family and groups renting homes for vacations concerns local politicians as residential homes are being purchased by large investment entities and rented to vacationers. They believe the revenues from these properties should stay in the Orlando economy. Orlando is not the only community concerned with this growing trend as cities throughout Florida are tackling the issue. Solutions for keeping more of that revenue local are in the discussion stages and not yet public knowledge.
Local rental agencies keep some of the revenue in Orlando as agents for large, out-of-state investment companies. However, this accounts for only a small portion of the overall earnings on the luxury homes in which investors collect. The Orlando vacation home market thrives due to the high concentration of theme parks in the area.
Agencies compete and vacationers benefit
Families wanting more space than traditional hotel rooms offer are renting homes to meet this criteria. Rental agencies are in fierce competition for the top position in the rental home industry. The competition means more amenities for vacationers as the agencies try to out-do the others. Guests can expect homes with private swimming pools, fully stocked kitchens and closets full of linens.
Disney World renovations and innovations
Renovations at Disney World, including the addition of new resort rooms and rental houses, are expected to increase tourism and rental revenues. Disney World increased ticket prices, but the increase has had little impact on the theme park's earnings in the first quarter of this year. The new electronic bracelet that allows park visitors to reserve ride times, pay rental fees and purchase meals in advance tested well. The test participants at all of Disney's theme parks had positive feedback for the new digital bracelet.
The bracelet not only acts as a park ticket, but a house key, meal ticket and a means to avoid long lines at the park's popular rides. The bracelets give guests an all-inclusive experience at Disney World, Disney World Resorts and affiliated restaurants.
It is an exciting time for realtors and Orlando Florida vacation homes rental agents. Tourism continues to grow steadily and the need for rental homes expands as a result. The economic future in Orlando and other Florida cities continue to shine brightly for those in the real estate industry.
