A Williamsburg County Worker was Killed while Directing Traffic
Williamsburg County, SC (PRWEB) September 06, 2013 -- A tree cutting service worker was fatally struck by a 2003 Mercury on August 8, 2013, according to Live 5 WCSC (8.8.13). The accident occurred on Highway 261 near Hemingway.
As the victim was directing traffic, the vehicle struck him, resulting in his death. After the vehicle struck the victim, it struck a truck. Authorities are unsure of the cause of the accident and it remains under investigation as WCSC reported.
"Accidents involving the death of a loved one are always difficult. It's impossible to bring them back, but the family shouldn't have to suffer from financial issues on top of losing their loved one," stated Charleston personal injury lawyer, alleged Gary Christmas.
Without knowing the cause of the accident, it's hard to place blame on the driver. However, it is possible the investigation doesn't show that road conditions or any other factor caused the driver to strike the worker.
"Often, these types of accidents are caused by a distracted driver," says Christmas.
Victims should always seek the help of a skilled attorney when injured in an accident. If you've lost a loved one due to the negligence of another, an attorney can protect your rights and ensure you understand your legal options.
