AAA Cooper Transportation Announced as 2013 Cerasis Carrier of the Year
Eagan, MN (PRWEB) June 10, 2014 -- Cerasis, Inc., a North American third party logistics company, announces they have presented long-time carrier partner AAA Cooper Transportation with the 2013 Cerasis Carrier of the Year Award.
In order to determine a winner for the Carrier of the Year awards, the Cerasis Carrier Relations team developed criteria based on two sets of factors. The first set evaluated on-time delivery percentage claims, invoicing criteria, and partnership. The second set evaluated ease of doing business and technology.
With criteria factors in place, the Carrier Relations team and Cerasis leadership went through our carrier partners’ data, which was made available through our robust transportation management system, the Cerasis Rater. Beyond the data available through Cerasis freight technology, the criteria then was put to a subjective grading by gathering the opinions of the internal departments who work frequently with the Cerasis carrier partners: the Freight Routing personnel from the freight desk responsible for scheduling pickups, the Customer Service Representatives who work with Carriers on invoice variances and freight claims, and the Freight Data Services team who work with carriers on technology to include EDI for functions such as auto-pickups.
The Carrier Relations team then took the department reviews, the points for each criterion and came to a mutual agreement on the carrier partner to receive the award for the previous year, 2013. The carrier partner who stood above the rest for 2013 was AAA Cooper Transportation.
This year, Cerasis hosted the Carrier of the Year winner, AAA Cooper Transportation, at the Eagan, MN, corporate headquarters for a day meeting to discuss even more strategic business conversations and an evening gala. Representing AAA Cooper were Reid Dove (President/CEO), Chris Durley (VP Sales & Operations), Lee McMillan (VP Strategic Development), and Benny Sims (Customer Service) from the corporate office in Dothan, AL.
The Cerasis team was especially excited to have 40-year plus AAA Cooper Transportation employee and widely praised within Cerasis carrier partner team member, Benny Sims. Benny has worked in all aspects of the freight business on the carrier side with AAA Cooper Transportation and is well known throughout the Cerasis organization for his dedication to truly practicing the Carrier/Shipper/3PL partnership. It is proven that those shippers and 3PLs who collaborate with and have a mindset of long-term partnerships with carriers achieve lower total costs in freight and transportation.
