AAHOA Congratulates Congressman Pallone on His New Committee Position
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 21, 2014 -- The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) congratulates U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, D-NJ, on his new position as ranking member of the Energy and Commerce Committee.
AAHOA-supported Pallone was voted by House democrats into the influential position after a tough battle for the role. Pallone defeated Rep. Anna Eshoo, who was House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s pick for the position.
“AAHOA has been a strong supporter of Congressman Pallone, and we are thrilled that he is now the ranking member of a very powerful committee,” AAHOA Chairman Pratik Patel said. “We look forward to working alongside Pallone to boost the hospitality industry and the overall economy.”
A top priority of AAHOA is to help elect leaders, such as Pallone, who will strengthen the economy by supporting business owners. Pallone’s new position is one of several victories for AAHOA-supported candidates this election season.
Founded in 1989, AAHOA is the largest hotel owners association in the world, with more than 13,500 small business owner-members. AAHOA members own more than 20,000 properties, amounting to more than 40 percent of all hotels in the United States, and employ nearly 600,000 workers, accounting for over $9.4 billion in payroll annually.
