Abadak Inc. Plans Biggest Thanksgiving Tarp Aid for the Homeless to Date.
Weir, TX (PRWEB) November 25, 2015 -- The unspoken fatalities of hypothermia that occur every year on the streets of Los Angeles during wintertime are extensive. Abadak Inc will be holding its annual thanksgiving tarp aid drive at the Los Angeles Mission in downtown Los Angeles.
The simple poly tarps supply water protection and enable people living on the streets to stay warmer. Although the homeless rate has sunken slightly the past three years Los Angeles still has a large homeless population. As one drives down the street of skid row in Los Angeles, blue, green and yellow poly tarps can be seen covering people living on the streets.
The tarps division of Abadak Inc, Tarps Plus, halls over 2000 tarps to be handed out to the Los Angeles mission Thanksgiving gala. The event is accompanied by celebrities, Mayor Garcetti, as well as other community leaders.
Abadak Inc. founder and CEO Michael Stein says, "This is our favorite event of the year. The tarps and blankets might seem like a simple thing but they are truly needed during these cold winter months and it's important for us come together with our community."
Last year Abadak Inc. gave out over 2000 tarps. The company expects to get out over 3000 tarps this year.
