Abandon Reality Recordings Releases "Mountain Time" by Zeta Perspective
(PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- Based in Calgary, Alberta, Abandon Reality Recordings is known for its unusual but smooth electronica, and they are pleased to announce the latest EP release by Zeta Perspective: "Mountain Time." The album continues in the same vein of eclecticism as Zeta’s previous album, "Things In Space," but with a deeper and more focused sound. The new 5-track EP is marked by lush pads, slowly changing shape like clouds, with groovy trip-hop influenced drums and slow tempos around 60-70bpm. And of course, it is a little bit "out there" too.
The album was inspired by the sense of awe one feels when in the mountains; even the rise and fall of entire civilizations are but the briefest moments of time on a geological scale. The music is based on the idea of time operating on these different scales, and the arrangements take the listener on a journey, always moving forward, but always maintaining a connection with the present moment.
Zeta Perspective produced mixed and mastered ‘Mountain Time’ at Volcano Island Studios with Abandon Reality Recordings. The Calgary studio has recently acquired some new vintage toys, like the legendary Korg Wavestation A/D, and the AKAI AX73, as well as more modern synths like the Korg Radias. These signature sounds and creative mixing are at the foundations of the unique sound that is Mountain Time.
Available July 30, 2013 on iTunes, Junodownload and Beatport.com.
