Academic Partnerships Pilots First U.S. Student Service Center
DALLAS (PRWEB) May 01, 2019 -- Academic Partnerships (AP), a global leader in assisting universities expand access to their degree programs through online delivery of instruction, today announced that it is piloting its first US-based Student Service Center (SSC) for one of its partner universities.
Student Service Centers are a retail space that supports local online students and advises prospective on-campus students on their higher education options. The centers are similar to storefronts for online retailers in high-traffic locations that provide name recognition, customer service, and build brand loyalty. An AP sister organization operates 614 SSCs across Latin America with more than 250 in Argentina alone, serving a total of 80,000 students annually across the region.
In addition to providing expanded services to remote pockets of online students, SSCs will allow AP partner universities extend their presence beyond their immediate service area. Each center, which will link prospective and current students to support services at the main campus, will be staffed with student advisors, retention specialists and local field representatives who work with area employers to establish affiliations.
“We hope Student Service Centers will raise service levels for current and prospective online students and continue to improve their online experience,” said Rob Ganji, AP’s chief executive officer and vice chairman.
