Academy of Design Presents their 1st Annual “Collections 2013 Fashion Show” at Corus Entertainment
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- Academy of Design’s Collections 2013 Fashion Show was held on November 14th, at the beautiful Corus Entertainment building. The show featured the final collections of each designer based on their individual themes. Family, friends, and industry leaders were invited to see aspiring fashion design students showcase their unique designs — all while raising funds for Engage and Change. Engage and Change is a charity that was created to foster good citizenship and encourage healthy communities by giving back. We are thrilled to announce that The Academy of Design raised over $1,500.00 for the initiative, ‘Project Winter Survival’-Engage and Change.
Our winners of the Most Creative Collection Award go to fashion design students Emma Hanninen, Patrick Salonga and Maria Kriselda Unson (Sel). We would like to thank our volunteers and to those who came out to support our students and the Engage and Change charity. A special thanks to our judges: creative director George Antonopolis; Suzanne Boyd and Derrick Chetty from Zoomer; wardrobe stylist Georgia Groom; Caitlan Moneta from Fashion Magazine; designers Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong from Greta Constantine; and Glenna Weddle from Rac Boutique.
