(PRWEB) November 26, 2014 -- The ETC (Emerging Technology Centers) http://www.etcbaltimore.com, Baltimore City’s award-winning technology innovation centers, announced today that applications for AccelerateBaltimore™ (AB) 2015 program will be closing on December 1st. “Do you have a big idea?,” asked ETC’s President Deb Tillett. “If so, I want to know about it. AccelerateBaltimore, Maryland’s first lean start-up business accelerator, is looking for six technology-based startup companies with a big idea to participate in the 2015 Accelerator. Good candidates are companies that could benefit from $25,000 and bring their product to market in 13 weeks. Last year, the Accelerator received over 60 applications. “We are hoping to double that number this year,” said Jacqueline Albright, ETC’s Community and Program Manager. “Twelve finalists will be contacted on December 3rd and they should be ready to pitch to the selection committee explaining: Why them, Why now and Why Baltimore. The committee will then pick the six companies to be part of the 2015 cohort,” she added. The winning companies will be notified on December 22nd and the program officially kicks off on January 12th, 2015 at the AccelerateBaltimore Orientation Session.

The 13-week program ends with Demo Day, where the six companies will be presenting their perfected pitch to angel investors, venture capitalists, the press, and fellow entrepreneurs. Sixteen companies have gone through the accelerator program to-date and successfully launched their products. Some of AccelerateBaltimore’s graduates include:

  • Allovue- An education resource planning solution for budgeting and analytics;
  • PrintLess Plans- A developer of innovative devices and applications for large format displays in the architectural and construction industry;
  • NewsUp- An online web and mobile platform gamifying the way to consume news;
  • Unbound Concepts- A web and mobile platform helping readers discover books;
  • Ntensify- A mobile app with branded in-app merchandise store.
  • Survey Snap- A mobile application for design professionals conducting site visits;
  • SeeFuture- An online platform linking high achieving college students with corporate mentors;
  • Rehabtics- An online, gamified, rehabilitation system for patients to follow at home;
