Access Health CT CEO’s Kevin Counihan to Answer Questions During Twitter Town Hall on March 25th at 2pm EDT
Hartford, CT (PRWEB) March 24, 2014 -- Health Justice CT, an innovative movement designed to use social media as the foundation for raising awareness on the issue of racial and ethnic disparities in Connecticut, will host a Twitter Town Hall on Tuesday, March 25th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm EDT. Kevin Counihan who serves as the state’s healthcare exchange CEO will serve as a special guest on this Twitter Town hall and will answer questions about healthcare enrollment.
This Twitter Town Hall is being spearheaded by a group of Connecticut Health Foundation Leadership Fellows, that are working with Health Justice CT, to encourage uninsured people of color to sign up for health coverage by the federal March 31st, 2014 healthcare enrollment deadline. In addition, a broad coalition of health and policy organizations have partnered with Health Justice CT to support this virtual discussion.
“Twitter is a great way to engage and connect people, families and communities,” said Kevin Galvin, Chairperson of Small Business for a Healthy Connecticut, who is organizing this event as part of his fellowship work with Health Justice CT. “And one of the most important things we can do right now is get people talking and remind them to enroll for healthcare.”
