TAIPEI, TAIWAN (PRWEB) November 14, 2014 -- Acer announces the 27-inch Acer S277HK monitor that combines a stylish form factor with great functionality for a premium audio/visual experience. It features 4K2K Ultra HD visuals on a frameless screen, super-fast HDMI 2.0 connection support and speakers with DTS® sound. It also has the distinction of being both the world’s first 4K2K monitor with a frameless screen and with HDMI 2.0.
When placed side by side, two Acer S277HK monitors present an ideal multi-monitor setup, offering a nearly seamless viewing experience with their frameless screens. Leveraging IPS technology, the S277HK’s screen delivers exceptional color saturation, color stability and 178-degree wide vertical and horizontal viewing angles. In addition, it boasts a 4K2K Ultra HD (3840x2160) resolution that is four times higher than a 1080p Full HD display for sharper visuals.
HDMI 2.0 connectivity increases bandwidth up to 18Gbps to transfer 4K content at 60 fps or four times the clarity of 1080p at 60 fps, for ever more powerful audio and visuals.
The Acer S277HK was designed with beauty in mind, from the sleek hair-line aluminum bezel, asymmetric metallic stand and glossy white back panel, to the dynamically styled speakers with DTS™ sound and venting holes.
For users who need to view their monitors for extended periods, the S277HK is equipped with Acer EyeProtect technologies that reduce eye strain and optimize comfort. It includes flicker-less technology that helps to eliminate screen flicker and a Blue Light Filter to reduce exposure to blue light that can potentially cause long-term eye damage. The S277HK also offers Low Dimming, which allows users to adjust down to 15 percent brightness in low light environments, and ComfyView technology to lessen reflections from external light sources.
For easy connectivity, the S277HK also comes with DVI and DisplayPort 1.2.
