Act-On, SiteLock and Verisign Executives Appointed to Online Trust Alliance’s Board of Directors
Seattle (PRWEB) April 07, 2015 -- The Online Trust Alliance (OTA), the non-profit with the mission to enhance online trust, today announced the expansion of its board of directors, welcoming leaders in digital marketing, security, privacy and compliance. The newly appointed members include David Fowler, Chief Privacy & Digital Compliance Officer at Act-On; Neill Feather, President of SiteLock; and Danny McPherson, Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer at Verisign.

OTA also announced the approval of several new corporate members, including privacy and cybersecurity solution providers Disconnect, Malwarebytes and ThreatWave. Combined with the new board members they bring to the table expertise in multi-channel marketing and preference-based marketing, all of which must be built on a foundation of online trust, privacy and security.
Since its founding in 2005, OTA has forged a multi-stakeholder effort to combat online fraud, assembling a team of industry leaders that continues to grow with these latest additions. OTA has members from a large variety of industries including social media (Twitter), content publishing (WebMD) and interactive marketing (Publishers Clearing House). Combined, OTA members’ input provides powerful insights leading to the development of best practices, online innovation and effective legislation.
