San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 09, 2013 -- The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) has named Kaylah Sterling, L.Ac. to hold a new private practice in their Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic. Practicing acupuncture for over 17 years, Sterling has held numerous roles at ACTCM including Clinic Dean and Professor.
Sterling served as Director of Integrative Medicine and Acupuncturist at the Jewish Home for the Aged for almost a decade, where she cared for and developed personal relationships with many patients dealing with chronic illness, pain, and emotional and psychological issues.
“As a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), using acupuncture as my tool, I have learned how to delve into the mental and emotional strongholds that are entwined in the body’s aches and pains, and how to alter the energetic patterns of the disease process,” Sterling says.
She specializes in treating mental health, immune support for cancer, internal medicine, and women’s health. The compassion and individualized care she shows each patient allows major transformations to occur among them. She places a large emphasis on nutrition and prescribes herb formulas to complement acupuncture treatments.
“My strength in patient care is my ability to deepen my patients’ relationship with themselves so they can develop the determination to heal what can be healed as they actively co-create their destiny,” Sterling says. “Acupuncture is a unique healing modality as it provides individuals with the energetic impetus to move through obstructions, gain strength and bolster immunity, so that well-being and inner peace can be attained.”
Sterling dedicates herself to living a balanced life through healthful eating and relaxing whenever possible and works to instill such knowledge within her patients. When she is not teaching or treating patients, she enjoys being outside in the sun with her black Lab, exploring the elements.
Sterling will be available in private practice Mondays from 12:30pm – 9:00pm, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am – 12:30pm. To make an appointment, call the ACTCM Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic at 415-282-9603. For more information about ACTCM, visit http://www.actcm.edu/.
