Culver City, CA (PRWEB) August 14, 2015 -- If you are one of the 67 million Americans who tracks their fitness, then you’ve likely had a friend or colleague who also tracks but is using a different fitness tracker or app than you. Activity Club aims to fill the void as the neutral platform for all digital health wearables.
“Wearable tech is one of the fastest growing industries in technology and Activity Club is the digital playground for those who wear them,” said Scott Rushforth, Founder
The founders of Activity Club, Scott Rushforth and Tanguy deCourson, are software developers and partners at 0X7A69, Inc. who have a passion for health data, but they didn’t start out that way.
Due to long hours spent coding and being sedentary, like many in the tech industry, they started to lose track of their health and gain weight. In the Fall of 2013, they decided to get fitness trackers, but they chose different hardware, and realized there was no way they could track each other’s progress or compete with each other.
They built the first version of Activity Club (then called Such Fit Club), lost a combined weight of 120 pounds, and thus Activity Club was born, but not before many revisions and a complete rebranding of the name and user interface.
The community started growing organically as their friends, family and colleagues joined, but it was Samsung’s recent partnership with Activity Club that really pushed their growth into overdrive. They are one of the early adopters of S Health, as well as the only app in the iTunes App Store to support data from Google Fit, making them a truly neutral platform.
Activity Club’s launch has been completely bootstrapped thus far by the founders, and the company is currently looking for series A investors to support further updates and features to the app.
