Acton School of Business Awarded "#1 Most Competitive Student" Five Years Running
Austin, TX (PRWEB) October 11, 2016 -- Acton School of Business, a one-year MBA program focused on entrepreneurship, today announced it has been awarded “#1 Most Competitive Student” and “#1 Best Administered Program” for 2017 by The Princeton Review. The school is profiled in the Review’s new 2017 edition of "The Best 294 Business Schools."
This announcement marks the fifth consecutive year Acton has been awarded “#1 Most Competitive Student” and the third consecutive year it has been awarded “#1 Best Administered Program” by the Princeton Review, making it one of the most competitive programs in the nation.
"We recommend the Acton MBA in Entrepreneurship as one of the best to earn an MBA. We chose the 294 schools based on our high regard for their academics and our assessment of institutional data we collect from the schools,” said Robert Franek, Senior VP-Publisher, Princeton Review. “We also solicited and greatly respect the opinions of 25,000 students attending these schools who reported on their experiences on our 80-question student survey in the 2015-16, 2014-15, and 2013-14 academic years.”
The Princeton Review does not rank the schools in the book from one to 294, or name one business school best overall; instead, the book has 11 ranking lists of the top 10 business schools in various categories. Ten of the lists are based entirely or partly on The Princeton Review's surveys of students attending the schools.
“We attract rising stars who have the talent, integrity and drive to change the world,” said Jeff Sandefer, Co-founder and Master Teacher, Acton. “The successful entrepreneurs who teach at Acton pack a week’s worth of learning into each day, because that’s how the real world works.”
The Acton MBA in Entrepreneurship is a 10-month program taught by successful entrepreneurs dedicated to equipping the next group of dedicated and talented individuals for a life of meaning and principled entrepreneurship. The program features intensive 100-hour work weeks, where students tackle real world problems and even sell products door-to-door. The student-faculty ratio is lower than any MBA program in the country, allowing students to develop strong bonds with their entrepreneur mentors.
“Classes at Acton are rigorous and intense. The students are incredibly well-prepared when they arrive each day, just as they will be when they’re entrepreneurs running their own companies,” said Robin Bruce, CEO, Acton. “In addition, the highly experiential nature of our program builds strong bonds between students and instructors, and not surprisingly, creates highly motivated and extremely competitive entrepreneurs.”
