Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 30, 2015 -- Actress Raven Goodwin is a DC native who found success on the hit television sitcom, Good Luck Charlie and her star continues to shine on the current BET smash drama, Being Mary Jane. Singer Kenny Lattimore, also a DC native is a veteran singing sensation who is about to release his latest project, Anatomy of a Love Song. However, both of their accomplishments do not outshine their need to give back to the Nation’s Capital—the place they call home. World-Class Sprinter and Philanthropist Michael Walton founded the Michael Walton Foundation twelve years ago to create outreach programs for inner city youth throughout urban communities. The foundation’s purpose is to foster leadership skills and behaviors in young people by helping them identify and cultivate their talents, set goals and make informed career choices. The foundation has created a setting where teens, public figures, athletes, and entertainers can openly dialogue. In addition to Ms. Goodwin and Mr. Lattimore, the forum will also feature 40 small group workshops.    

Mr. Walton says, "We are thrilled to have Raven Goodwin and Kenny Lattimore joining us as celebrity role models. This will be a homecoming of sorts for both of them. At a time when our students are in desperate need of role models, I commend them for taking action with us.
