Acumen Healthcare Moves to OneNeck IT Solutions’ ReliaCloud™ Service

According to CEO Bill Kobi, Acumen was looking for a way to cut IT costs and move to new virtualized cloud-based technology. He says, “Acumen has grown over the years and operating clinical trials in two separate IT environments. We needed more stability. At the same time, we wanted to stop being so tied to our IT infrastructure.”
After researching the options, Acumen selected OneNeck. Today, the company has relocated its entire IT environment onto OneNeck’s ReliaCloud™ cloud-based hosting service—but they did it in two phases. The first step was to colocate Acumen’s existing servers into OneNeck’s Tier III data center in Eden Prairie, Minn. Once successfully moved and integrated, OneNeck then began shifting Acumen from their aging IT hardware onto ReliaCloud.
“Initially, we were a little skeptical about moving our aging hardware and then bringing it back up without interruption to our users, but it worked,” Kobi stated. “And, now we have a new cloud-based environment that is saving us time and money. We are extremely happy with the conversion and the new-found stability.”
