Fort Lauderdale Addiction Treatment Center Celebrates Success of Family Night Events
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (PRWEB) May 15, 2014 -- Cornerstone Recovery Center is celebrating the success of its Family Night event at its drug rehab facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The next Family Night will be hosted at Cornerstone’s Fort Lauderdale addiction treatment center on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
The parents and loved ones who have attended Family Night events in the past have been very thankful for the opportunity to meet other parents and share stories with people who understand what they are going through. Alcohol and drug addiction therapist Barbara Hernandez explains, “The reason that Family Night is such an important event here at Cornerstone Recovery Center is because we realize that addiction is a family disease that affects all members of the family, not just the one battling with addiction.”
In fact, Family Night has been so successful that the Ft. Lauderdale rehab center plans to increase the frequency of the events. Starting in June, Family Night will be held on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. In addition, Family Night will be open to anyone who would like to learn more about addiction and recovery.
The staff is excited to expand their recovery and rehabilitation services to more of the South Florida community. These meetings offer parents and friends a chance to see how the treatment process works and get their questions answered directly from the experts caring for their loved ones. During Family Night, attendees are invited to take part in an open discussion led by Barbara Hernandez, MS, LMHC. Now in its 5th month, the Family Night event is extremely popular, and has received very positive feedback from the family members who have attended.
