Adisseo® Launches e-RNG 2.0, an Interactive Version of the Rhodimet® Nutrition Guide
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 30, 2014 -- An electronic version of the Adisseo Rhodimet® Nutrition Guide (e-RNG 2.0) is now available for nutritionists worldwide. The Adisseo Group is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of methionine and a provider of nutritional solutions for animals.
The Adisseo e-RNG 2.0 is a follow up to the paperback Rhodimet® Nutrition Guide that was published in July 2013 and the electronic flip chart RNG that was released in August 2013. All three versions contain amino acid recommendations for poultry, swine and aquaculture. The e-RNG 2.0 is interactive and can be downloaded to personal computers and tablets, Android or iPad. It not only provides amino acid requirements for a number of animal species and strains, it also highlights the total and digestible amino acid composition of more than 30 different raw materials.
These data were extracted from the Adisseo near-infrared (NIR) service called Precise Nutrition Evaluation (PNE). PNE predicts the digestible amino acids, metabolizable energy, both total and phytic phosphorus, and a number of proximate analyses within raw materials. These predictions rely on ISO-certified wet chemistry methods and a unique in vivo database of more than 200 digestibility trials that have been carried out at the Adisseo Center of Expertise and Research Nutrition (CERN) in France.
Based on an innovative modelling approach, that was initially developed by Pierre-André Geraert, the Innovation Marketing Director at Adisseo, digestible amino acid requirements are expressed in grams/animal/day, according to weight gain or egg mass. While the initial 2002 RNG was based on available data from the time, many individuals wanted to confirm that the modelling approach remained valid with more recent data. The paperbound, electronic flip chart and e-RNG 2.0 consequently use all new published works up to 2012, and confirm that the methodology for a larger number of essential amino acids is valid.
This approach gives a simple and more precise method of adjusting amino acid recommendations to field results, when compared to using a constant digestible amino acid-to-lysine ratio. These values are adaptable to standard or specific conditions and various feeding programs.
“A recent trial conducted in Thailand demonstrates that formulas based on these recommendations resulted in a better adjustment of digestible amino acid requirements that sustained growth and resulted in a better economical return when compared with usual recommendations,” says Dr. Magalie Nonis, Animal Scientist at Adisseo.
The e-RNG 2.0 is free and accessible via the Adisseo brands website http://feedsolutions.adisseo.com for personal computers, and via the App Store and Google Play for tablets. To access e-RNG 2.0, users download the application and then receive an access code for use with the first session.
“This tool is available in nine languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Polish, Turkish, Arabic and Chinese,” says Pierre Dalibard, Global Technical Manager at Adisseo.
