Adolfson & Peterson Construction Opens New Denver Public Schools Facility
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) October 12, 2017 -- Superintendent of Denver Public School Tom Boasberg and board member of District 4 Rachele Espiritu both spoke at the event. Other attendees included Tari Gold from the DPS Project Management team and team members of Denver Public Schools and MOA Architecture.
This fast-track, 124,000-sf school was designed by MOA Architecture and includes music and art classrooms, science labs, a gymnasium and a kitchen and cafeteria. The two-story PK-8 building will support learning from early childhood development through 8th grade for up to 950 students and will provide a single location for education to parents with multiple kids.
“We’re incredibly excited about the work we’ve done Denver Public Schools on this project,” said Project Manager Shawn Brannon. “I look forward to seeing how this structure elevates the community.”
The 13-acre site will bring added value to the community including a multi-purpose field, multiple play structures, painted game areas, multiple shelters and picnic tables, a baseball field, four basketball courts, three parking lots and a school garden. The school design supports two separate school programs and administrations, and though some community spaces will be shared, the separate school programs will be able to maintain their individual identities.
