Adolfson & Peterson Receives Distinguished Building Award for Landmark Studio Project
Richardson, TX (PRWEB) July 03, 2014 -- Adolfson & Peterson Construction (A&P) was recently awarded the first place Distinguished Building Award for its work on the NBC 5 Studios at CentrePort project from TEXO and the Associated General Contractors Texas office.
Recipients of the Distinguished Building Award were judged on the following criteria: difficulty in construction resulting from design, location and materials; unusual construction techniques involved; final appearance and quality of the finished product; timeliness of completion; and ability to maintain safety throughout the project. Of the eight projects submitted to TEXO in the $10 – $30 million building category for the Distinguished Building Awards, NBC 5 Studios at CentrePort took top honors.
The NBC 5 Studios project is located within CentrePort Business Park and in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Developed by KDC Real Estate Development and Investments (KDC), the studios include a state-of-the-art 75,000-square-foot facility that serves as the home of KXAS NBC 5, KXTX Telemundo 39, NBC News DFW Bureau and other NBC Universal businesses. NBC 5 Studios at CentrePort is the first ground-up installation of a major broadcast facility since 1974 in Dallas-Fort Worth.
