Milpitas, CA (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 -- ADOMANI, Inc. has announced that industry expert Jim Reynolds will begin serving as President and CEO. He is a 13-year veteran in the school, commercial and transit bus industry and the former President and CEO of A-Z Bus Sales of Colton, California. While with A-Z Mr. Reynolds was an integral part of their success, growing their top line revenues, profit and market penetration by double digits.
ADOMANI is known for their gas or diesel to all-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle conversions. They have converted a range of vehicles including two all-electric 50 passenger type-D Blue Bird All American school buses, an all-electric Ford F-150, an all-electric Ford Ranger, a hybrid Dodge Ram 1500, a supercharged hybrid Ford Mustang, and an all-electric supercar.
Mr. Reynolds discussed his new position saying, “ After retiring from A-Z Bus Sales I joined the ADOMANI Board as their first outside director and began to see firsthand the opportunities ADOMANI has in the pipeline for converting vehicles from gasoline and diesel to all-electric or hybrid. When they approached me about working with them, while interested and honored, I was a bit reluctant, but once I saw their technology and realized the impact a company like ADOMANI could make on the transportation industry and the environment I was on-board.”
A recent ADOMANI conversion, an all-electric Blue Bird school bus, is debuting in Gilroy, CA at the beginning of this school year. The conversion was a joint project between ADOMANI and the Gilroy Unified School District. The bus has a range of 40 miles per charge, tailored to meet the 22-mile route. ADOMANI can supply a bus with enough battery power to travel 100 miles on one charge. The Gilroy Unified School District facility is supplemented with solar panels to charge the batteries, making the bus a true zero emission vehicle.
ADOMANI founder and CTO, Edward Monfort, commented on Jim Reynolds recent appointment stating, “Jim has incredible industry expertise and relationships. His sales and marketing experiences will prove pivotal as we move forward as a company. After I met him and spent some time with him, I told the Board we needed him as our CEO and I would be willing to step down as the CEO if Jim would accept the positon.”
