Advanced Aircraft Safety System Invented by InventHelp Client (VET-325)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 04, 2015 -- Since pilots cannot land safely without the help of air traffic controllers, it stands to reason that when the controller issues a verification to land, it is critical that the pilot can confirm that information. Fortunately, an inventor from Las Vegas, Nev., has found a way to ensure the pilot clearly understands where to land.
He developed VERI-LAND to provide an airplane pilot with a visual verification to land on a specified runway. As such, it avoids the accidental issuance of the same landing verification for two different planes. Thus, it prevents crashes and near mid-air crashes for all types of aircraft. It, therefore, significantly improves safety for air travelers since it has the potential to save lives and avoids injuries and property damage. Furthermore, it is ideal for all types of commercial, general aviation, and military aircraft. Also, while it provides valuable information, it does so without distracting the pilot from executing the landing. In addition, it is convenient, effective and easy to install, use and maintain.
The inventor’s occupation inspired the idea. “As an air traffic controller, I became aware of recent regulations that require ATC personnel to highlight approaching aircraft on a radar scope when a landing clearance has been issued to keep track of the issued clearance,” he said. “This invention affords pilots the same information so they can avoid near mid- air crashes.”
