Advanced Recovery Systems Acquires Blue Horizon Eating Disorder Services
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) February 24, 2016 -- Integrated multi-state behavioral healthcare management company Advanced Recovery Systems (ARS), which operates from corporate offices in Fort Lauderdale, has enhanced its eating disorders treatment service line by acquiring Winter Park, Florida-based Blue Horizon Eating Disorder Services, LLC (Blue Horizon).
The acquisition became effective in mid-January.
Blue Horizon is nationally recognized for clinical leadership and success in treating patients facing the medical, nutritional and psychological issues that accompany eating disorder issues.

Blue Horizon provides intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization services for eating disorder clients from a location in Winter Park that will be expanding into additional space during the first quarter of 2016.

The Blue Horizon program aligns well with the integrated behavioral health model available at the growing number of ARS locations throughout the country, and the acquisition bolsters the ARS position as a leading provider of eating disorder treatment services nationally, Dr. Eisenberg added.

Dr. Wandler said approximately one third of patients treated at ARS centers have eating disorder issues, regardless of the addiction or substance abuse patterns they are working to overcome.
Blue Horizon delivers a multidisciplinary approach to treating eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and other related disorders. Services are tailored to each patient from age 9 through adulthood.
